Sukima Trial is Out!

The trial download for propeller’s highly anticipated title Sukimazakura to Uso no Machi is now available on their game page! The game is scheduled to come out May 27th and is probably my pick for that month.
New games announced this week include:

You can download a post-epilogue scenario patch for fortissimo EXA. They sure like releasing things gradually.
Momiji won yet another fortissimo EXA chara poll. Sayuki was close… ok, maybe not. Chara polls have started up for Majikoi S for new characters (until April 17th) and Mecha-con! (until May 6th).
Popular PS2 RPG Persona4 (miss the TV?), light novel High School D×D and CLAMP’s original BLOOD-C are all getting anime adaptations.

Among the Dengeki Bunko new releases this month is Kitakubu no Ace-kun. (Hasegawa Keisuke, illust. by Hiroyuki), where a former middle school baseball ace now doesn’t join any clubs and heads straight home after school every day. Suddenly, he’s drop kicked by a girl from behind who tells him to join the ‘going home club’. Wait, isn’t that what he’s doing already!?
A new light novel from MF Bunko J that caught my eye is Utau Shoujo no Full Score (Ameno Chihare, illust. by Tanihara Natsuki). In a world where both science and magic exist, songs by girls called ‘utahime’ (songstresses) are needed for magic. However, they need to be kissed by their partner in order to boost their powers. Takeru is one of these guys called ‘soushi’ (instrumentalists) and he is partnered with Kaho at the Cantatrice Music Academy. Then one day, his imouto Asuka who is the top utahime in Japan suddenly shows up and tells him to take responsibility for a kiss!
The latest Beach Queens figure from WAVE is Fortune Arterial‘s Kanade! This cutie will be available in October at ￥3990. Phat! has figures coming out in August for Panty & Stocking‘s Panty and Stocking and Scanty and Kneesocks. Both sets are ￥1890 each. The limited preorder version of the September PSP title Eiyuu Densetsu: Ao no Kiseki will include puchi nendoroids for Tio and Ellie.

Kaname’s story was kinda boring in Suzu7SLC, but with that route out of the way, I’ve moved on to Akasaka. You might be asking why I’m playing another feng game after the horror that was Hoshikaka? It’s not the same scenario writers and after playing Minato’s route… well, at least stuff is happening. As much as I want to play Mitsuki-senpai route, I’m forcing myself to play it last.
It’s been a long week, so gonna just kick back and play the Sukima trial and finish up reading Canvas2. Maybe I should replay it as I’m liking the story all over again.

Downloading the trial now, but Sukima really looks quite polished and the OP movie is really great (the song is amazing!). The background art is something else — really impressive! Of course, it probably helps that I’m already partial to cherry blossoms for some reason… but they’re definitely pushing all the right buttons.
With all the regularly-scheduled releases plus the delays, May is currently looking pretty packed. I find myself kind of hoping for my delays…

Zen, have you finished Gokudou no Hanayome? I’m currently slowed down due to incoming exams, but I’m not sure whether to laugh or rage at what they put in Amelia’s route.

I have not completed Gokudou, though if I find some time I do plan on it.. Or rather plan to complete it other than Ameila, I hate her so much there is no way I can inflict the pain of her route upon my fragile psyche.

BTW – in the full title for Sukima, it’s “Machi” not “Tokai” (it’s read aloud in the PV video).
(And in my earlier reply it should have been “more delays”, not “my delays”… those happen to, but I don’t hope for them…)

Hm, a Kanade figurine. As much as I like the character, I’ll likely just look for a Kiyoka figurine.
As far as Akasaka goes, you know I’d only talk about Sai. I’m thinking wait, how can you do Mitsuki’s route last when … *not saying anything*.
I could rave on about Sai but I’ve done that enough for like, 3 years. But seriously, that got me take notice of Akasaka and Aozora in the first place.

Guyyys. I’m in the middle of learning Japanese, so I hope you don’t mind me asking, but why is 都会 read as ‘machi’? This is throwing me off because I know they say ‘machi’ in the PV, yet isn’t it supposed to be read as ‘tokai’?

Ya, the kanji is read as ‘tokai’, but it’s common in the anime setting that words are not read the way they are meant to. Sometimes they’ll show you real pronounciation (sometimes in English even) with furigana. In this case, they didn’t do it though.
