VC Trial on May 18th

A new trial version of Circus‘ SRPG Valkyrie Complex will be available for download on May 18th. Having played the first trial and felt the battle system was decent, I’m interested to see if there’s more ADV-side and incorporation of special and dual skills this time around. I wanna see Mapul! (Speaking of Mapul, there’s a nice Nekomimi version of her in the staff blog section…)

Another interesting title is now scheduled for a July release. Propeller‘s Kitto, Sumiwataru Asairo Yori mo, is coming out on July 24th. I like the intro flash movie on the website, as well as the character designs. I think it’s fully voiced. Araragi is pretty cute.

As expected, Sakura Sakura is now pushed back to June 26th, while Tiara now has a July 24th date. I’m wondering when/if they will actually come out. Seems like Symphony is in financial trouble. At least Cross Days looks set since the OP and demo are out already.

The OP for Ciel‘s Fault!! is out. Tony’s artwork is great as always, but I didn’t really like the song itself.

More info has been added about the mini stories for D.C. II To You. I’m still waiting for Mahiru’s backstory. Young Yume is really cute though.

I had a good laugh over Tenshin Ranman‘s countdown flash on Thursday. I wish Sana would tell us her three sizes…. So close.

Finally, it’s not quite eroge news, but… the full Umineko no Naku Koro ni anime cast has been announced and there’s a banner campaign up on the site. I’ve added a link to it on the sidebar. Can’t wait!

Hehe have you been lurking on the Valkyrie Complex site like I have?

I’d like to see the improvements to the combat system, the additional characters, and hopefully a fully voiced trial!

  Yes, every day (same with Tenshin Ranman). From what I see, the special skills can take out groups of monsters easier. I had to gang up on monsters one at a time in the trial (and Regina kept dying -_-)…
  
  Fully voiced trial would be nice!

Yeah it was mostly just basic attacks and basic skills/spells in the first trial. Nothing overly fancy, although it was the beginning of the game… Can’t expect EPIC spells till further in. And the terrible AI made it ridiculously easy. I hope they improved it. A lot.

Regina? I usually kept her way back and just used her to summon creatures to be sacrificial meat-shields. I also allowed her to take random potshots with her book if there was no other danger, or if she was surrounded by allies to block other enemy movement. >_>

  I’d let her whack a nearly dead monster for the final hit, but she’d fail, then get counterattacked >_> Eris’ healing was so useful. In the last battle, I ran out of SP lol.

  Rather than want to cry, I’m just amazed. This is the very first game that got delayed for over a year. Makes me really wonder if should I really get the game or not.
  
  But the bright side with Sakura Sakura’s out from May list, VC is definitely gets on my must get list~
