A peek back at RO

So I was talking to a guildie from RO about stuff today (<3 ya Joolie!) and heard that iRO is pretty much turning into a “giant pile of private server”. Sure enough, looking at the official site, there’s clothing dyes and… wth another exp event? (How many of those have there been already in the past 3 months!?) It seems that kRO is also exploring the possibility of a “renewal system”, revamping the game to fit in 3rd classes. I honestly don’t know much about it, but this seems to be a big change for the game.
Although even with the constant doom and gloom regarding future patches for RO (and most MMOs), I know that RO will always be there. I just sure hope it doesn’t drag me back for the 4th (5th?) time. You know, it’s that game that you just can’t quit.

I’m chained to work, barely have any sparetime, you call that free?! T_T I envy those days I could actually sit down and play games without feeling guilty about it… uhh wait, i already do that with NHL… let’s call it work-related research o.o;;

oh and uh.. it’s really not worth coming back right now. school started and all that. nevermind the content, there’s probably not going to be a patch for a long time.

Gravity USA is trying its hardest to keep the few people who are still in interested. So, kafra shop and random events have become pretty much a necessity.
Ironically, two or three years ago, we would have bitched about no event. But now….
In the very long run, I can see Gravity USA opening a free server, with bonus to pay with your cash, like how they are doing it on kRO.
PS: Not to mention that they opened a server to test changes in the game mechanisms.
