A Victim of Unfortunate Circumstances

Long-running eroge magazine Dengeki Hime will be ending before the end of the year. It’s unsure whether this was due to the recent merger between the Kadokawa and Dwango groups (effective October 1st) and/or recent declining sales. It’s a shame since they’re usually bundled with some good tokutens, but this resulted in a higher cost. This means that TECH GIAN and PUSH!! are the two main monthly eroge magazines which remain, and readership for print media (not only in eroge circles) will only be harder to maintain in the future. Let’s hope for the best and support them if you can!

mintCUBE is a new sister company of CUBE, CUFFS and Sphere. Their debut title Ama Koi Syrups ~Hajirau Koigokoro de Shitaku Naru Amagami-sama no Koi Matsuri~ will come out on February 27th. The artists are Pan (Sakura NoReply) and Suimya (SDs for CUBE/Sphere).

Other new titles announced this week include:

AppliqueHana no No ni Saku Utakata no
SofthouseCharaAkuma Musume no Kanban Ryouri

Gesen18’s Sengo Muramasa has been set for February 27th.

Hifumi topped the 10th Sengoku Koihime (momiji-themed) chara poll. The commemorative wallpaper will come out on November 14th.

The bishoujo art collection for Komatsu E-ji (Planetarian), “Ichigo no Ko”, comes out on October 20th for ¥2750. Meanwhile, “q-o”, the first artbook from refeia (Sukimazakura), will be on shelves on December 18th for ¥2778.

All excited about Grisaia? How about picking up Kotobukiya’s 1/6 scale Michiru figure? She can be all yours for ¥11,000 this March. Other figures available for pre-order include:

ALTER – 1/8 scale Labrys (Persona4, January, ¥16,800)
quesQ – 1/8 scale Tutankhamun (Eiyuu*Senki, February, ¥9800)

Now that the October post is finally done, I can have all the Elise-tan and Sakuya to myself… kekeke…

Just how many sister companies does CUBE needs? Also, it seems I am losing my ability to read those long Eroge names, since I give up half way through when I was trying to read the name for this new mintCUBE game (Ama Koi Syrups – Shitaku Naru Ama…Yeah, whatever! Cute things! got it!)

Wow these are sad news T.T Dengeki Hime was my favorite…

By the way, are you sure that it will be ending, instead of going on hiatus?

    Thanks,

I’m sure most likely it will end because I never heard a magazine going on hiatus for a month or more.

Not worth paying 10k+ en even if it contains tokuten if the game itself sucks, right? :|

I can see the new sister company sucking too, although I’ll give it a try since I’m always doubting myself and my instincts.

Still have August and September titles unfinished… I don’t understand how you monsters finish all the titles you want while taking care of real-life shit, gebus…

@gangrelion: I don’t mind how many sister companies they make, so long as they keep churning out delicious chara-ge… Mmm…

@doublewrite: As Will mentioned, usually hiatus=termination in this industry.

@joyjason: I guess it comes with experience and ability to prioritize. Also, not being in a relationship nor having any kids helps a lot, as those are major time-sinks. It’s like work away from work.

@gustave154: They definitely are the most innovative in that regard. Some of them are pretty damn good.

I'm no longer making any eroge posts nor actively updating the upcoming releases. Thanks for following the blog through all these years and hope that it has been helpful. Please continue to support the eroge industry and love your imoutos!
