One of the most exciting announcements at C94 was that ALICESOFT is planning to make the sequel Evenicle 2! I really enjoyed the first game, so I’m looking forward to it!

Other new titles announced this week include:

Palette9-nine- Haruiro Harukoi Harunokaze
QruppoNukige Mitai na Shima ni Sunderu Watashi wa Dou Surya Ii Desu ka FD
WhirlpoolPieces ~Wataridori no Somnium~

Nexton is starting up a new brand called Yumemiru. The official site opens on October 13th.

The PS4 port for SAGA PLANETS’ Hanasaki Work Spring! has been set for November 22nd.

The release date for Funny Knight’s 1/8 scale figure of Fate/EXTELLA‘s Jeanne d’Arc gravure vacance ver. has been pushed back to October.

The Comiket staff have also announced that C96 and C97 in August and December 2019 will be four days long, instead of the usual three, to account for the reduction in space at Tokyo Big Sight. Since the East halls will not be available, corporate booths will be held instead at the planned Aomi Exhibition Centre near Tokyo Teleport Station, more than 20 minutes away. There should be no other changes aside from the dates and locations.

I never understood Alicesoft and Evenicle. I didn’t like Rance series for the same reason that everything’s just so silly and taken lightly. I like my games to have at least a bit of weight in them and have the game take itself a bit more seriously but at least in both series everything was just sex, sex, and more sex.

Qruppo’s Fandisc: Played the original game completely, ironically have the exact same opinions as I do for Rance/Evenicle. Pretty much the exact same things annoyed me in Nukitashi as it did in Rance and Evenicle, plus a little more but ehhh… I MIGHT give it a look just because Nukitashi was at least bearable, but not getting my expectations too high.

Palette’s 9-nine series: The only thing I hope is that they manage to solve some inconsistencies from the first two titles and not have the damned game take one full year to release. Literally most of the scenario should be complete by now and everything’s just recording of the CVs and Izumi Tsubasu’s art. That shouldn’t take, say, 8 months imho even if Izumi Tsubasu is designing character artwork in a mobile game

Whirlpool’s new game: Quite ironic it was announced recently as I’ve JUST queued all of its older titles in my backlog for some nostalgia’s sake. Nekonin titles were frankly below average at the absolute best I can give them and Hatsujou Sprinkle was also a relative disappointment for a Mamizu fan, so I’m just hoping they deliver something like Suzukaze with the new Pieces title; seems like there’s no other information for this game at the moment.
