So very, very glad to see signs of progress on my most anticipated VN. :)

Interestingly enough, Nijima Yuu is also going to be working on the scenario for Sakura no Toki along with SCA-Ji… To be honest I have mixed feelings about that…

As much as I loved many of Nijima Yuu’s past works, VNs with multiple writers in charge of different routes inevitably suffer in terms of thematic consistency and general cohesiveness between routes. I’d hate to see that happen to the sequel of my favorite VN of all time.

It’s understandable why as a company, Makura might want to throw more resources into the production effort this time to avoid a repeat of the decade-long slog they endured for the original Sakura no Uta, but as a reader and longtime fan I’d honestly prefer if they held to their previous approach of just giving SCA-Ji full creative control and as much time as he needs. He’s proved over and over again that he can deliver scenarios that are well worth the wait.

      >Nijima Yuu is also going to be working on the scenario for Sakura no Toki

I do NOT see this ending well. I absolutely hate Nijima Yuu after he repeatedly created bullshit scenarios and my last straw with him was with Koikake, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks like this.

On the other hand, I loved the writing style of SCA-Ji and wholeheartedly agree that giving him full control of the scenario would do wonders for the sequel.

Just don’t delay it for another 10 years makura; Sakura no Uta really suffered from that delay; just see how different Chapters IV, V, and VI were compared to the beginning portions

maybe they needed more routes? you can’t expect SCA-DI to write everything… Eroge is a business after all.

What was up with that Giant spider and that Giant Dragon Micchi? Is that some national event or holiday?

As part of Canada’s 150th birthday, there were a lot of special events across the nation and especially in my city, the capital Ottawa. One of them was La Machine, where a giant mechanical spider and dragon-horse roamed the downtown core for four days, turning it into a real-life stage. It was extremely cool and possibly the largest event ever pulled off in the city, attracting 750,000 people. I’ve still yet to process my photos.
