January 2017 Eroge Releases

January 1, 2017 at 1:01 am 15 comments

What should you expect from a new year of eroge? Perhaps more of the same, with popular artists Korie Riko and Chikotam lending their craft to Cabbage Soft’s Hoshikoi*Tinkle and Parasol’s Kanojo to Ore no Lovely Day, respectively. There’s also NekoNekoSoft’s Lamune 2, a continuation of their series dating back to 2003. It may also be the year of the osananajimi, with two mid-priced titles where they are the sole heroines: Campus’s Fu’un to Kou’un to Koi Uranai no Tarot and Azarashi Soft’s Aikagi.

A new year. Though to be fair at the time of writing this, it is still December. So I guess with thoughts of the future I’ll say this much. Someone needs to tell the Japanese in general, though especially the eroge industry to change things up year to year.  We get it, your copy paste abilities are truly unparalleled, please level up your other skills.

Chiccha na Hanayome ~Mada Mada Tsubomi da mon~

Company: Galette
Game site: ちっちゃな花嫁 ~まだまだつぼみだもんっ~
Release date: January 27, 2017 Delayed to March 24, 2017
Keita works at a flower shop, taking care of the storefront and doing deliveries on behalf of the scary-looking manager. He mostly makes deliveries to the town’s large cultural center, where events are held almost every week, including piano recitals, ballet performances, art contests and drama shows. He delivers flower bouquets of celebration and support to the site. When he saw the girls who were trying their best to achieve their dreams, he remembered his own dream which he had given up on. He wanted to make clothes for girls, specifically wedding dresses. What will become of his and the girls’ dreams?

Galette is still making loli-ge after K-ko and Azumabito moved to Tinkle Position, with pikazo taking over lead illustration duties. All the girls are under 150cm and 77 chest size. So at least they got that part down. I’ll wait for the trial to see if the story is decent.

If you find yourself wanting to invest in the pedo market via a flower shop I have a suggestion for all potential investors. Remember that your fields of flowers will require bees for pollination, in which case you should import them from Africa. Also remember bee suits are an unnecessary expense for the friendly African variety of bees. So really get in there and rub your face on the hive to let them know you are their friend.

Let it to Zen for all the swell advice.

At this point I should be given a medal for my public service.

Love Love Sisters ~Hanayome & Shimai-tachi to no Dokidoki Harem Seikatsu~

Company: ぱじゃまエクスタシー (Pajamas EX)
Game site: らぶらぶシスターズ ~花嫁&姉妹達とのドキドキハーレム生活~
Release date: January 27, 2017
New release date after being pushed back from December. This is the third title in Pajamas EX’s Love Love series. Kisara is an extremely talented girl genius who was entrusted with running the historic and famous Nekogusa Gakuen by her great-grandmother and actually succeeded in doing so. The hardworking Hitoma was not timid around her and worked as her right-hand man. She ultimately confessed to him and they married shortly thereafter.

However, it seems the overly perfect Kisara has a weak point: she tries too hard at everything. One month after their marriage, she tried out a retro game to take a breather after working hard every day even while being newly-wed and after a couple days, she became a complete NEET. Moreover, she doted completely on Hitoma after never having done so before. It felt like it would get to a point where she wouldn’t move unless it was to have sex. But who will manage the school now? He decided to work even harder for her sake.

But that wasn’t the last of his problems. They lived together in the girls’ dormitory Kaimyou-ryou, where all of Kisara’s sisters also live. They all have feelings for him, but he was too slow to notice them…

Retro games do take a lot of time, especially if you suffer from OCD. I wonder if it’s any worse than MMOs or gachas nowadays. This is strictly a chara-ge, so if you fancy any of these typical (odd) girls, then give it a go. For me, it’d be the twins or bunny pajamas-clad imouto Hana. Food-loving Pnina goes from a K cup to a B cup after dieting. Just how does that work?

The concept behind this game starts out rather interesting, with the focus being post marriage changes to lifestyles. After that though it throws every good point to the wind with the focus on H scenes and the fact they lived in a female dorm with her sisters. If they varied the cast of heroines, had a more organic and adult feel to the characters, and spread them out over a larger setting this game would have been worth playing. Alas, good ideas never realized.

Zen from years past would’ve describe them as a box of Skittles. What you see is what you get.

Truly wise words from a sage amongst men.

Played a bit of the trial and it’s amusing enough if you just want some randomness and H scenes. Hana is worried for your future, onii-chan.

Company: あざらしそふと (Azarashi Soft)
Game site: アイカギ
Release date: January 27, 2017
It was the last winter of his school life and with entrance exams and graduation edging closer, Nozomu didn’t know what to do. He was told to become independent, but he couldn’t find a suitable place to live by himself. His childhood friend Shiori couldn’t stand watching him in his current state and suggested that he live with her. While he thought that it wouldn’t really make him independent, his parents readily agreed to the idea. Before he knew it, they were living together under the same roof.

Their cohabitation was only to last one month. Since it’s only for a short period and she’s his childhood friend, he thought that nothing wrong will happen. However, living together with Shiori revealed to him a side which he hadn’t seen before, and he began to see her as a woman. Where will their relationship end up now that he had begun to have feelings for her?

This low-price game is split into two parts. The first part focuses on the cohabitation aspect, as they begin to have feelings for each other. The second part starts when they become lovers and basically is a parade of icharabu H scenes. I’m a sucker for childhood friend stories and Shiori’s cute, so I’ll probably spend a few hours to play this.

It seems to me more and more games are going the low price route these days. Sadly you pay for what you get in most cases. Yet another case of writing will make or break it. Should the writing be good then these games can be enjoyable no matter how short they are. On the other hand when even the writing feels “Cheap” there isn’t much point to these games.

It definitely seems to be going that direction, or at least there’s more of them being offered (either for different audiences or as a temporary cash flow). The downside is that there’s not enough content for considerable development and not enough characters for natural interactions.

AstralAir no Shiroki Towa Finale -Shiroki Hoshi no Yume-

Game site: アストラエアの白き永遠 Finale -白き星の夢-
Release date: January 27, 2017
New release date after being pushed back from December. This is the fandisc for AstralAir no Shiroki Towa. The main story features Yuki as the main heroine as winter enters the third straight year at Tsukigasaki. There are also after stories for the heroines and a bonus story with the always popular trio, Hazuki, Marimo and Shiina! If you order the deluxe version, you’ll also get a Yukiyuki plush! Here’s to a happy end for everyone!

Thank god for a fandisk, too many games this month.

Kimi no Hitomi ni Hit Me

Company: 戯画 (GIGA)
Game site: キミの瞳にヒットミー
Release date: January 27, 2017
Akira was the only member of the classic literature club, which was in danger of disbanding. As the deadline for recruiting new members approached, the student council president Hotori approached him with a suggestion for how to save the club. She told him that he would get the full details in the club room.

When he entered the room, there were four girls there. However, they were not interested in joining his club, but rather they wanted to create their own! They had gathered there to take over the club room after the literature club folded.

Hotori suggested that he get the girls to join the literature club. Will he be able to convince them or will the club be taken over?

Bad puns aside, GIGA’s latest offering puts a slight spin on the usual ‘save the club from disbanding’ setting. Which club would you want to be in: comedy club, wonderfulness club, world domination club, or youth club? I guess in the end it doesn’t really matter what club it is since it’s just a way to get the protagonist and a bunch of eccentric heroines together in the same room… although I am interested in the world domination club. Then I can have all the imoutos in the world to myself! Mwahahaha!

In typical Giga fashion they have set their standards low enough they could drill for oil. I cannot recall any save the club plot ever being anything other than terrible. Sure there may be one somewhere in the hundreds of titles that blur together, but doesn’t change how bad they are as a concept. I have an idea. Serial killer club, when all the competition is dead the club will be safe and sound.

But wouldn’t taking out the student council who imposed the 5-member + advisor rule in the first place be easier to accomplish?

You wouldn’t make a very good serial killer with that attitude. Did I ever say you could not kill them too?

Silverio Trinity

Company: light
Game site: シルヴァリオ トリニティ
Release date: January 27, 2017
This is the sequel to Silverio Vendetta. Situated on the eastern border of the military nation of Adler is the historic city of Praga. It remains a powderkeg despite the official ceasefire between the three nations fighting over the territory and its resources, each of whom was completely different militarily, economically and religiously. There is a constant hidden power struggle which threatens the temporary balance and peace.

To break the tense and stagnant situation, the leader of Adler’s “Virgo” corps, Gilbert Harves, assembled all the “Esperantos” (Astral users) to create an experimental platoon. Among those chosen was Ashley Horizon, who had once been saved by the hero Christophe Valzelide and who will now be tasked with saving others.

Even though it is a sequel, the protagonist and the heroines are all different. Sorry, the trial was fine and the music is great and fitting, but I don’t think I can put up with the chuuni side for a whole game.

It’s a Light game. Meaning there may be some decent music. The rest is probably cheesy and worthless. I would be pretty embarrassed to write their games as an adult personally.

Lamune 2

Company: ねこねこソフト (NekoNekoSoft)
Game site: ラムネ2
Release date: January 27, 2017
A summer tale begins in a rural seaside town. The burning sun, the sounds of the cicadas, pure white beaches and the blue sea and skies as far as the eye can see. One would expect that something will happen, but at the same time it feels like surely nothing will. And so this summer begins just like every one before it.

Lamune 2 follows NekoNekoSoft’s 2003 title Lamune and 2009 title Sorairo, although they’re not related aside from the setting. It follows the same template, with suki suki beam imouto Iroha, hermit crab-loving ponkotsu osananajimi Nanami (voiced again by Tohno Ran), and noisy kouhai Rie. Depending on your choices in the childhood chapter, the heroines’ personalities and relationships will change. There’s also an additional episode, for a total of 10 routes. I don’t mind NekoNekoSoft’s games, although sometimes they do feel a bit too slow-paced. But I guess it does suit the summer theme where you just kinda laze around. Iroha will need to work hard to reach MY SISTER Ai’s level.

Same game as before really. May as well just re-release it. I suppose this is better than the Circus or Type Moon method, still some variation would be nice, with the heroines especially. I say this as I never like any of their heroines, which means little reason to ever consider their games.

Real Eroge Situation!

Company: 自宅すたじお (Jitaku Studio)
Game site: リアルエロゲシチュエーション!
Release date: January 27, 2017
Shinobu has feelings for his classmate Kanna, but she isn’t good with otaku like him. So he decided to give up his hobby to get closer to her. A year later, he received a letter from her asking him to come to the classroom by himself after school. He was full of both nervousness and anticipation having been suddenly called by a girl who he had feelings for, but when he entered the room, another classmate Ayame was waiting for him there instead. She’s one of the most popular girls in the school, not only for her cheerful and friendly personality, but also for her voluptuous chest. And she was masturbating against his desk.

“Sorry for using Kanna’s name to call you out here.
I didn’t think you’d come otherwise.
I love you! I fell in love with you at first sight…
and I’ll definitely make you crazy for me too!”

After the sudden confession, she went after him daily with extreme and ecchi ways. This triggered a move by his osananajimi Yuri, who was infatuated with him. Furthermore, even Kanna herself declared her love for him. His springtime of youth has come, full of real eroge-like situations and plenty of sex!

Jitaku Studio’s second offering is distinctly ero-centric and balloon-heavy. There’s quite a few H scene settings, such as the ‘synchro voice’ system where you can hear what the heroines are actually thinking when they are engrossed with your meat shaft. They’ve been running a Twitter campaign lately asking for the lewdest ero siutations, which has gotten some pretty imaginative submissions. This is pretty much a nukige with sex-starved heroines.

About as lazy a nukige can be without simply becoming a CG set.

Tsukikage no Simulacre -Kaihou no Hane-

Company: あっぷりけ (Applique)
Game site: 月影のシミュラクル -解放の羽-
Release date: January 27, 2017
This is the full 18+ version of the light visual novel Tsukikage no Simulacre, which came out for free in October. They’ve tripled the content, as well as adding H scenes for all 4 characters and multiple endings (more than two). I told you the freebie was basically a promotion for the ero version.

My lazy cop out for any game pulling this stunt from now on will be “18+”.

Kami-sama no Game -Kankin Sareta 6nin no Danjo-

Company: ザウス (XUSE)
Game site: 神様のゲーム -監禁された6人の男女-
Release date: January 27, 2017
Kazuma suddenly found himself trapped in an unfamiliar room with 5 women: his cousin Kokoro, her classmate Moe, the daughter of a noble family Kotoko, medical school student Mitsuki and the married wife Yuriko. They were all confused as to why they were there, and a light appeared above them and started to sing:

Who will die and who will live~♪ The dirty humans will survive~♪
Come now, let’s betray one another~♪ God’s game has begun~♪

The self-proclaimed “God” playfully asked them if they would like to play a game. Of course, they didn’t want any part of it and just wanted to go home. In response to their refusals, “God” sliced off their arms and opened up a large hole in the stomach of those that made a cheeky remark. Panic ensued until everything was reversed in an instant. Having found out first-hand the powers of “God”, they had no choice but to participate. It was a death game with absurd rules that could change at the whim of “God”. Will they kill or help each other in order to survive?

This game is based off a web novel written by Kuro. The rules of the death game detail that the game will continue until the 15th day or 3 women and Kazuma die. It uses a point system which diminishes daily and with access to provision, that can only be replenished by sex (limited number per day). There’s wildcards and the rules can change whenever God wants. It’s kinda like CLOCKUP’s euphoria, except with bad art and even more deus ex machina. I read the first few chapters of the novel, as well as played the first bit of the trial (which is basically the same), and it just feels like an excuse for lots of H scenes. The protagonist is put into a favoured position where he controls the destiny of the girls with his dick. Why are these kind of games being made?

Normally I would sit here and write up all the reasons the concept is bad and why along with what would have made it acceptable. However this time it is just too bad. It’s so bad that I considered writing as though I was completely into the game and thought it was the most amazing contribution to humanity since fire was invented to counteract Micchi being negative for once. But, the problem was, there is nothing positive about it. I can’t even imagine making something up to sound sorta decent.

In summary Xuse hasn’t made a good game since they split up and probably never will. Dunno how they continue to exist when they do nothing but harm the environment with their carbon emissions. Should tax their breathing as pollution after they purposely befoul the world with more of this trash.

Ninki Seiyuu no Tsukurikata

Company: MintCUBE
Game site: 人気声優のつくりかた
Release date: January 27, 2017
The mid-sized voice actor agency Production Bloom is always short on staff. Keito is an old friend of the manager Kaname, who asked him to help out part-time with the collection of scripts from the sound production company. As he wandered the premises, he met some seiyuus who all had their own worries. This is another side of the voice acting world that is not well known, told from the viewpoint of the seiyuus themselves.

Hmm… is this supposed to be some meta game? It highlights how the seiyuus and the rest of the industry work behind the scenes. At least it didn’t go the way of Shoujo-tachi wa Kouya o Mezasu and start referencing itself. The setting is mostly in Maikaze-ryou, the girls’ dormitory for students of Seikadai Gakuen in the entertainment business, of which Keito is the manager, taking over for his mother who had injured herself. I actually thought the trial was not bad and the focus on each seiyuu’s challenges to be different, from lack of confidence and manager relations to lack of work and how to play certain roles. The parts on dubbing is also pretty interesting. There’s no way my imouto could be a seiyuu!

Lame gimmick appeal. Instead of trying to come up with good heroines or a compelling story they just went for the voice actress route. No different than idol games really. Even if the whole thing is accurate you can tell it is going to be trash from one clear indication. All the heroines are the same. See any time the heroine cast is filled with an overlapping archetype the focus is going to be entirely on that rather than the characters themselves. Had they wished to make a good story or an interesting commentary on the industry itself a heroine or the main heroine would have been enough. This would give contrast and sustain interest. In the case they are all thrown together all the importance blurs together and weakens. For example, I am pretty sure any voice actor does not only know other voice actors and people related to their job. To put it in a simple way, the over emphasis creates a feeling of under emphasis on the very crux of the theme.

Company: きゃべつそふと (Cabbage Soft)
Game site: 星恋*ティンクル
Release date: January 27, 2017
This is the first title by Cabbage Soft. The port town of Nagisa has a nostalgic ambience. It is the only place where the star Nagi can be seen. The townspeople hold the “Starry Sky Festival” every December to worship their guardian star. However, it doesn’t concern Kei, who moved to the town with his sickly imouto Soraha. It was more important to him to get used to his new life.

At first, they faced a series of troubles, but Soraha’s health gradually got better thanks to the clean air in the town. He was able to make friends at his new school and adjusted to living in a rural town with few inconveniences, even without their parents around. However, there was one odd rule that he had to abide by: he must not let the existence of Nagi be known to outsiders.

One day, he has a mysterious encounter with a girl who had the same name as the star, Nagi. This is a love story between humans and the stars.

Korie Riko’s back and that’s reason enough to play! The star theme reminds me of Hoshimemo, which was also written by Nakahiro (AstralAir, Seiiki series). The characters all have their own charms, particularly super amaenbou & super oppai brocon imouto Soraha (voiced by Akino Hana). You’ll have to ignore the fact that her top is completely see-through early on in the trial. Loli senpai Nagi and dojikko kouhai Sakura, voiced by Haruka Sora and Fujisaki Usa, are also great. Then there’s also his classmate Tamaki, who is voiced by none other than Agumi Oto. The trial was decently long, with some mysterious elements (including secret character) while exploring the backstory behind the star Nagi, culminating with the creation of the Seiyasai club. It seems to be a pretty safe pick for this month.

Stars, wishes, snow, sickness, and or some form of ghost. All are basically what writers with no creativity use to artificially add a dramatic or emotional connection to otherwise mundane and pointless events and settings. There are a few others but those are in the most general sense the main fallbacks for literary hacks. So really this is a Micchi game. In other words play it because you obsess over a heroine or heroines, not because it is something worth reading.

I’d like to point out that that’s not necessarily a bad thing. You should enjoy the game you play, just that everyone’s mileage may vary.

It is not as though I hate the concepts themselves. I Just dislike how writers use them as a crutch to cover up their own inability or lack of creativity. Things like that are fine if the foundation itself is solid, but ruin things when they become a central pillar for all else to revolve around.

Kanojo to Ore no Lovely Day

Company: Parasol
Game site: 彼女と俺の恋愛日常(ラブリーデイ)
Release date: January 27, 2017
Shou is a talented painter who is a scholarship student at Sakuranomori Gakuen. However, shortly after entering the school, he was fascinated with figures and became addicted to building them. As a result, he didn’t complete any works of art and the school told him that they would revoke his scholarship unless he wins the upcoming competition.

When his parents found out about this, they put him in the dormitory without any figure-building tools to make him concentrate on painting. All he could think about was to hurry home so that he could build a satisfactory creation for Hobby Festival, so he had no choice but to participate in the competition.

Up until now, Shou had painted objects and people as he would see them. While he was very talented in doing so, his way of painting changed after he experienced building figures. The most important thing in any creation is love for the character! There’s no point in having the model just sit there; he must know her personality, her mannerisms, her way of thinking, her secrets…. He couldn’t start painting until he knew everything about her, so he began to observe her and got to know her worries along the way.

Will he be able to win the competition and what will happen with their relationship?

Not only do we get Korie Riko this month, but also Chikotam! The story’s probably not gonna be much better or worse than other moe-ge, as the trial was oddly paced, the protagonist is quite the lucky sukebe and the heroines are pure enough to gift him some free service (hey, that’s what ‘special friends’ are for!). There’s the half-Canadian Alice, whose last name is Kongou (great creativity). I really do wonder if Japanese people think Americans, Canadians and British all sound alike.

Toss the theme out the window and the whole thing would be a better read. The figure nonsense is entirely pointless for the story. As far as the painting, it’s just a mechanic by which the situations are created and otherwise insignificant towards the plot. Even though I generally mock the Canvas series for its poor understanding of art, even Canvas looks cultured compared to this. Since there could have been any reason for his stalking, why bother? Just emphasize the comedy of him doing what he loves so the reader can have a fun time. Instead they get in the way by trying to rationalize it in a half baked manner. A lovable idiot is always going to be a better protagonist than a just plain idiot.

Hi no Nai Tokoro ni Kemuri wa Tatanai -Akeno Shuri to Ichiren Takushou no Onna-tachi-

Company: 暁WORKS (Akatsuki WORKS)
Game site: 緋のない所に烟は立たない -緋修離と一蓮托生の女たち-
Release date: January 27, 2017
This is the full 18+ version of the light visual novel Hi no Nai Tokoro ni Kemuri wa Tatanai, which came out for free in October. There are three new scenarios for Tsuki, Saya and Yuri which branch out after the ending of the main game. H scenes will be added to the story, as well as some bonus scenes. I told you the freebie was basically a promotion for the ero version.

Fu’un to Kou’un to Koi Uranai no Tarot

Company: Campus
Game site: 不運と幸運と恋占いのタロット
Release date: January 27, 2017
Ten years ago, a fortune teller warned Kouta that the month of June ten years later will be unluckiest month of his life. The only way he could avoid the misfortune would be to find a lover who would share her good luck with him. He did not wish to fall in love with a stranger just to escape bad luck, so he entered the fated month and was besieged by numerous misfortunes. His childhood friend Akane, who’s training to be a fortune teller, offered to be his lover since she’s not a stranger. Not even the tarot cards can predict where their complex relationship will go.

There will also be an all-ages version released at the same time for Windows and Android devices, containing the main story. Do you think it’s worth paying 3000 yen just for H scenes? If you like Momoi Ichigo or a busty osananajimi, it might be. Akane’s pretty cute, although her proportions are ridiculous.

Yet another game where the protagonist is essentially forced into H scenes by his surroundings. So much for free will. This poor guy doesn’t even get a choice of H scenes. Not much point in a one way fortune telling.

Mamono Musume no Sodatekata ~Lamia & Harpy~

Company: Vanadis
Game site: 魔物娘の育て方 ~ラミア&ハーピー~
Release date: January 27, 2017
This is the latest game in Vanadis’ Mamono Musume series. Riku was eating his bento at the top of a mountain when the boiled egg that he was peeling slipped out of his hand. It started rolling down the slope and he chased after it, but it wouldn’t stop. He was left in despair as it ended up rolling into a nearby lake. Perhaps out of pity seeing his love for eggs, a goddess appeared form the lake holding two eggs. He was given the choice of the golden egg or the silver egg. In the end, he ended up with both of them.

Riku was overjoyed at receiving such large eggs and quickly rushed home to cook them. As he was slowly warming one up and patiently waiting for his meal, a group of men in suits barged in and surrounded him. Then the egg started shaking, and soon a crack appeared in the shell and it exploded, filling the room with steam and smoke. When it cleared, a girl was standing in front of him! She hugged him tightly and called him papa!

When Riku looked closely after the initial shock, he realized that the girl was not human. The men in suits explained that there has lately been contact with other worlds and the goal is for them to co-exist, but it is still impossible to announce it publicly due to the difference in appearance. If he could successfully raise the girl and teach her common sense, then their goal of co-existence could be realized.

The sudden obligation put Riku in a bind, but the girl had already imprinted him as her father, so there’s nothing he could do except try to raise her up with human values. He also had to keep others from noticing her to avoid any problems, otherwise they would be punished. He was at a loss for what to do, having just gone from being single to a single father. What will become of their relationship?

You have a week to raise your monster daughter and become the best papa. Can she just stay as a chick?

Monster girls are kind of Vanadis’ thing. All there is to it really. Not a fan of their art style in general though personally.

Micchi’s Top 3 for This Month

  1. Hoshikoi*Tinkle
  2. Ninki Seiyuu no Tsukurikata
  3. Aikagi

Zen’s Top 3 for This Month

  1. A new year has come,
  2. Some things stay the same some change,
  3. I hate imoutos.

Whoever thought of that lame pun of a title ought to be (Hit) punished.

I prefer hilariously bad engrish titles personally.

Ow >_<

Thanks for the previews. I haven’t looked at January’s releases in details myself yet, as I’m still busy with actually playing December’s…

As for the game reviewed :

Aikagi : I like Azarashi’s Amakano series for its pure icha-icha. No donkan protagonist, no forced harem situation, no special powers, just a moege in its purest form with little annoyance to distract from the main attraction : the heroines. Then again, Aikagi’s writer is not the same, and for a love story having the heroine start the game at max affection is never a good sign. It’s very cheap though, so why not. I hope Azarashi will start making a full game sometime soon, as Amakano+ turned out to be little more than a fandisk.

Ninki Seiyuu no Tsukurikata : That one sounds interesting, and I’ll probably at least give the trial a chance. I don’t recall many games in which CVs have been the main factor, contrary to idols of which we get dozens per year. If the game’s setting is not too ridiculous I’ll be interested to read what the game has to say about them. I wish the game didn’t try to force a High School setting on top though, since good CVs are actually quite far away from their teenage years… Another missed opportunity for adult characters in a game that doesn’t involve either NTR or Chikan (I hope)… Anyway, I tend to really enjoy CV commentary in games like Koikuma, and I kinda like Kusuhara Yui and Haruka Sora, so unless it turns into an empty nukige that should fit right up my alley.

Hoshikoi*Tinkle : I’m not gonna lie, having Akino Hana voice a sickly little sister is already getting me kinda interested. Add in a kind brother looking after her and that’s probably already enough for me. Nakahiro, the scenario writer is the one responsible for feng’s *Seiiki series though, not sure it’s the right pick for a mystery but since Imouto no Seiiki was the best of the lot, and featured a brocon little sister also voiced by Akino Hana, I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and at least give the game a shot.

@kzel It’s quite strange to see you on Hau Omochikaeri after I’ve introduced you to it. Even more surprising to find you already having opinions and insights to share, which is pretty cool considering you haven’t even played the game.

Definitely the Parasol game for me, but I’m really thinking that Nanohana was a fluke seeing how Quintriple Splash was just absolute shit. I’m probably going to expect the same for this game as well. (*coff* backlog)

Aikagi looks really interesting, only if it wasn’t a low-priced title as everyone mentioned. This lack of length isn’t going to represent the slow development of both characters and story, so in the end it might even seem like a nukige :(

Xuse’s games are always stuffed with Deus ex Machina. Don’t read them unless you hate yourself.

Astral Air can go suck it because I hate Favorite games with a burning passion and Astral Air isn’t an exception. I even had a hard time being interested with IroSekai and that was apparently their best game. I was legitimately screaming in pain as I was playing that title. You think I’m joking but I’m seriously not.

Skipping Hoshikoi Tinkle purely because of Giniro Haruka and Zen’s comments that it’s a game you play because you like the heroines. The game itself has a stellar CV cast, but if I can’t find myself caring for the heroines, I’m just going to be kicking myself in the nuts for even thinking about touching the game.

Mamono Musume actually sounds fun as a nukige, but as with Zen (or Micchi; whoever said it), not a fan of that art. Might look into it in the super unlikely scenario I finish the December titles

Discovered this site back in 2013, and although I never have the time / language skill needed to play VNs, I still enjoy these posts nontheless. You guys never fail to make me laugh, and with the number of imouto Micchi brought home with him since 2008, damn that’s a big house ~ Zen will always be Zen I guess, not that I don’t like his personality ~ Happy new year you guys and thank for the great work.

Just me or is the eroge release dates now even further compressed into the end of the month than before. There isn’t even a single release in the first half of the first three months.

    • 14. Micchi  |  January 24, 2017 at 7:18 pm

It’s usually the case that games come out on the last Friday or the Friday before that. I haven’t noticed too much of a change in this regard.

So I only pick Love Love Niku for beautiful graphic game collection. Certainly, the route of Sarusuberi Misatoko-chan
