Koichoco Anime Announced

sprite’s Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate is getting an anime adaptation next year. Its strong points are its art and music, but the story definitely needed work. But hey, at least it’s better than Hoshikaka. My guess is that they’ll go with the Chisato’s ‘canon’ route. I really hope they dedicate an episode or two to Isara. Her smile melts all troubles away. Chisato and Satsuki will also be subcharacters in fairy’s upcoming title Ima Sugu Oniichan ni Imouto Datte Iitai!.

Liar-soft has announced their next title: Okujou no Yurirei-san. Seems like a yuri title. Three new companies have revealed their debut titles: bolero with Love Lab, Foundation with Grand Libra Academy, and Garden with Love Replica.

A fandisk for Poison@Berry‘s Princess X will be out on February 24th.

Harupoco had only just come out and ALcot Honey Comb already has a teaser up for their next title. It’ll be illustrated by Sesenayau (Diamic Days, Prism Rhythm, Natsunagi, ComingxHumming). I spy with my little eye a twintailed loli.

Release dates have been set for the following titles:

Shiny Days – February 24th
Re:Loaded Carmine – March 23rd
Otome ga Tsumugu Koi no Canvas – March 23rd
Strawberry Feels – March 30th

fortissimo EXS//Akkord:nächsten Phase has been delayed to February 24th.

Doujin circle inspire’s C81 title will be Minarai Maid no Okurimono. Kenta is a temp worker who spends his time playing anime pachinko. After a long day, he comes home and finds a maid in his room.

The imouto charm won over voters as Yuu easily wins the Koikishi chara poll. Akari gets the short end of the stick and finishes last among the heroines and subheroines. Other characters that topped their game’s chara polls are: Chisa (Gift PS), Iori (Master×Re:master), Mira (Koisuru Koto to Mitsuketari!), Anna (SuGirly Wish) and Annemarie (Gaku☆Ou) who gets a wallpaper. Rance and Lisette were deemed the best pair in Rance Quest, while the favourite female monster is Battle Note, originally from Galzoo Island.

Chara polls have started up for Kanosora (until December 19th), Renai 0 km (until December 25th) and Riajuu Saimin (until January 4th).

Release dates have set for the following PSP titles: Bullet Butlers (January 26th), Photokano (February 2nd), Amatsu Misora ni! (February 16th) and Ore wa Shoujo Mangaka (February 23rd).

The Photokanolove and happy book” will be on shelves on January 19th,  two weeks prior to the game’s release. It’ll introduce the characters and game system, and includes 3 reversible posters and a DVD with the OP.

Two new figures are up for preorders: 1/6 scale mischievous slinking cat Xiaomei (Shining Hearts, April, ¥8610) from Kotobukiya, and 1/8 scale Flandre ~Ver.2~ (Touhou, February, ¥8190) from Griffon.

The Visual Arts★MottoSP Android app site has now opened. You can purchase key titles such as planetarian, AIR, Kanon and CLANNAD.

There’s now a social game out for Mobage called Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls where you train idols to become an idolmaster. There’s over 100 idols to choose from, including the im@s cast, and you can battle other players with the winner receiving the stage outfit of the loser.

2.5 Jigen will be making Tenshi no Hane o Fumanaide‘s Sol-y-luna seifuku next after SonicomiShuffle! and Steins;Gate.

The RO-KYU-BU! goods seem to target a certain group. How about a Hinata dakimakura? Yes, that’s Airi’s swimsuit she has on. It even spawned off parody LoliTubes. Mahochi actually looks pretty cute.

Dokusho Meter has released an iPhone app that can scan barcodes from books and bring you to the corresponding page on their site. This is really useful for me since it saves me the hassle of searching for titles when I’m updating my list.

The Onegai☆Twins LN surprisingly ended differently than the anime, so I guess it was worth the read even though there were series of 10+ pages with walls of text and no dialogue which almost made me fall asleep. Resuming Galge no Sekai yo, Youkoso! now with his cousin Mai questioning if harems really bring happiness to everyone involved. Hmm… sounds like Seizon.

Webclap responses:

Hi, sorry for the noob question, but do you folks know Japanese? I’d love to play a few eroges, but can’t read Japanese… by Playing eroges?
Hi there, yes I can read Japanese. Even if you do not understand the language, there are still many translated titles out there.

Art and music, the things that don’t get adapted faithfully from a vn to an anime.

I agree, Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate may be able to score points for its art as an eroge, but as an anime keeping that style will be a lot harder. Can’t see how this WON”T even up being another fail eroge to anime adaption.

Whoa, whoa. Chisa won Gift’s chara poll? Not Riko? Well, color me surprised. I like both and all, but damn.

Koichoco get’s an anime adaptation? That’s a nice surprise ^^ I hope they won’t fail with it. Sprite’s follow-up title definately looks great as well.

I’m glad there’s more vn’s with very high quality production values, even despite the recent downfall on the japanese eroge market. This gives some hope for a brighter future.

I’m in the same boat as everyone else; I cannot see how Koichoco can be successfully adapted into an anime. Art is one of its only selling points, and I doubt that art style will be maintained in the anime.
