Koisora Voted Top Overall in 2010

April 3, 2011 at 3:37 am 12 comments

Koisora topped the Getchu bishoujo game 2010 user rankings, having made the top 5 in almost every category! I’m one of those that voted for it, since it was quite a fun game. Rounding out the top 5 are SubahibiIkusa Megami VeritaSinsemilla and Steins;Gate. Subahibi won the scenario category as expected, with Sinsemilla as runner-up. Eushully and Applique once again don’t disappoint in the system category, but I’m sure many enjoyed Akatoki!‘s system, which earned them 3rd place. The best OP was HGB‘s “Good-bye crisis”, which was also in my top 5 OPs.

But of course, what interested me the most are the chara rankings. Usually the characters I love don’t end up on top or even in the top 5 due to my unique interests. What? Hoshikaka‘s Madoka is first!? Well, I guess she’s probably the best heroine in the game, but my precious (fake) imouto Koharu is sooooo much better! She’s not in the top 12 being beaten by Suguri, but… wait!

They posted my comment! Long live imoutos!

New titles announced this week include:

07th ExpansionHiganbana no Saku Yoru ni (?)
CielFault!! Ace (June 24th)
Liar-softOiran Rouge
OverflowShiny Summer Days
RosebleuStellar Sister

Release dates have been set for the following:

Tenshi no Hane o Fumanaide – June 24th
Mirai Nostalgia – July 29th

Chuable Soft‘s Astraythem has been put on hold indefinitely due to a setting that is too similar to the recent tragedies. The story is based on a fictional city of Senseki (from Sendai and Ishinomaki) which was ravaged by a earthquake and tsunami that killed thousands. I think it’s a good idea to shelve the idea for now.

Hatsukoi Yohou. has been delayed to May 27th.

The new OP for Rewrite has come out and it’s totally different from the feel that I’ve gotten from the game up till now. But dual pistol-wielding Shizuru? Hell yes.

A plug-in pack is coming out for Custom Maid 3D on April 28th, including additional appearances and costumes.

WORKING!! had many people guessing when they began a countdown on the official site a week ago, culminating with an elaborate April Fool’s joke. But actually, there is a 2nd season! More Poplar and Yamada! Woohoo!

Iyashi-kei vocalist Kicco is releasing her first album “gateau au chocolat” on April 27th, covering many Lump of Sugar titles such as TayutamaItsusora and HGB. On April 28th, ALICESOFT will be releasing the Daiteikoku OST along with the B.G.M festival #0 Anniversary CD.

Newtype has samples up for the character song albums for Oniichan no Koto and Dragon Crisis. The OST for Hoshi o Ou Kodomo is coming soon too on May 7th.

Next visual fanbook coming out from Enterbrain/TECH GIAN STYLE will be for Journey’s Nanairo Kouro.

GSC/Max Factory has a nendoroid (July, ¥3500) and figma (June, ¥3800) combo coming out for Black Rock Shooter‘s Strength. I personally don’t like it. They also have a 1/8 scale figure of Fractale‘s Nessa coming out which looks much better. Priced at ¥6800 and comes out in August. FREEing is making a nendoroid of Hyakka Ryouran‘s Juubei OP ver., which comes out in July at ¥3500. For those wanting a little more skin, check out CharaAni’s 1/8 scale sexy black and pure white figures of Ikkitousen‘s Ryomou (July, ¥6980 ea).

Mmm… delicious Yui dakimakura…

As a Galaxy Angel and DiGi Charat fan, I am sad to hear that Broccoli has withdrawn from the retail business and its stores will now be run by Animate starting June 1st. This is due to huge losses in recent years. I still have my points card from when I visited the GamerS main store in Akiba. Good memories.

Are you a pro incubator?

Hope you all enjoyed April Fool’s. Zen isn’t into BL… I think. You can also check out all the April Fool’s from various eroge companies and others after the jump. No webclaps this week.

Reading Nakaimo v3 and Happiness! v2. Rinka finally gets some chara background and Shougo’s ‘imouto’ tells him to stop looking for her over the school’s P.A. system. I think it’s actually Rinka posing as an ‘imouto’… not sure for what reason though. Oh, and Jun is still awesome.

I have also seen the character ranking poll and become really interested in madoka. I quickly installed hoshi and use savedata to quickly run through her h scene. Well, I was not really interested…maybe if i have some spare time, I will give it a try.

How are Yuzusoft and LoS related? Are they sister company? I always thought they are two separate companies until recently(when I see HGB and noble work advertisement side by side)

Dang, guess I’ll have to check Koisora out sometime.

Lol, you got your comment on the site!

Nice for Sena! She got second place and I I’m surprised Yume from Hoshimemo is still there! She’s one of my favorite characters of all time. Satsuki from KoiChoco ranked quite high so I’m happy with the results!

The new Re-Write Opening was quite unexpected for me. I haven’t been following the updates in the game so finding out it’s a battle (?) adventure genre was quite shocking. Just hoping the game lives up to that awesome OP.

As far as I’m concerned, it’s still the melodrama genre as we know it. Also, this is a new OP in addition to the other one, so maybe it’ll become used somewhere in the middle of the plot, like in Koiiro Soramoyou for example.

      Or we have been april-fooled.

      • 5. johnishida  |  April 6, 2011 at 7:45 pm

It seems the OP was around before April’s Fools.
I don’t mind the battle adventure genre, I’m just surprised the game took that direction.

KEY’s usual Melodrama + Battles can give birth to an epic win class of game or an epic fail class of game. Time will tell.

        • 6. Tsun  |  April 7, 2011 at 9:59 pm

If they don’t try too hard, they might even make a good game. If not… I just don’t see Key in the adventure genre… But well… Let’s just wait for it and see.

  • 7. Tsun  |  April 3, 2011 at 2:44 pm

@johnshida : Can’t really agree with you on the Rewrite OP… Maybe because I know Key’s attempts at the Action/Adventure genre aren’t… Well, really that good.

I will agree with the song of the OP though. The rhythm was messed up and looked out of place… The lyrics, on the other hand- I liked them…

Still, looking forward to how Key can develop it… Lets just not set our expectations too high.

  • 8. Newprimus  |  April 4, 2011 at 2:34 am

How can Subahibi not get 1st place!? Oh well at least it nabbed second out of all those games, especially considering it’s a serious plot-heavy game and not something made up entirely of moeblobs, imoutos, and eroge cliches.

  • 9. warum  |  April 4, 2011 at 3:17 am

Wait what? I was under the impression that the new OP for Rewrite was April fools…but Key can’t be this… :O?

WORKING!! 2nd season? YAMAKING!! だと信じいたのに~ xD. Sounds perfect to me. This time Poplar wont lose in Saimoe! Just you wait…

And thus Micchi’s imouto love has reached even further on the net…

I don’t quite get how Koisora shot up so high. Weren’t there earlier voting things where they weren’t anywhere near the top?

    The character poll was interesting.

  • 12. Micchi  |  April 8, 2011 at 10:42 pm

@aquaspirit: LoS and Yuzu are just best buddies. They like cross-promotion.

@Wrathkal: It was the only one I put a comment in for too :P

@johnishida: I’m a bit wary too, but either way it’ll be epic.

@Newprimus: I’d think Getchu visitors like their moe? Or maybe I voted 100 times? :>

@warum: Watch her face Kuroneko in 1st round.

@Amoirsp: Because this one is user rankings, not Getchu’s own. Maybe.
