The Wait is Over!!
It’s been a long wait, but Oreimo anime is coming out tomorrow!!! The second PV came out last week, featuring clips from the first episode. I am sooooooo hyped up!!! I can identify so many games in Kirino’s stash and played a few too (Sugar+Spice2).
Meanwhile, the Oreimo Portable PSP ADV game has been scheduled for January 27th! If you order the limited edition, it comes with Ore no Imouto Maker EX, based on the Imouto to Koi Shiyo! game that kickstarts Kirino and Kyousuke’s secret relationship! Check out the PV here!
There’s also a new 1/8 scale Kirino figure from Kotobukiya. It’s priced at 6090 yen and comes out in February. This one’s not tsun like the other one, but I like both just as much! ^o^
New titles announced this week include:
ALMA, Ex-iT and onomatope* are all new companies. It seems like TEATIME decided to skip 5 to 554 and went straight to 555 (Go Go Go!). This latest installment of the Love Death series includes an online function. Orgy?
FOUNTAINHEAD has closed down. Their sole game was Chaste Chase back in 2008.
In a complete reversal, minori has now welcomed the foreign market by partnering with No Name Losers and MangaGamer to localize their games beginning with ef. It would be great if some other companies will relax their foreign IP restrictions. I’m looking at you, YuzuSoft.
It seems like Danny Choo’s mascot Suenaga Mirai will be a subchara in Nitro+’s Sonicomi.
FAVORITE has started up the third chara poll for Hoshimemo. It runs until October 31st. Let’s see if Yume will win again.
Tomo ran away with the Ruitomo FD chara poll with almost 3 times the number of votes of second-place finisher Akaneko. There’s a commemorative wallpaper for her his victory. Iwana topped the Lovekami chara poll, followed by heroines Tsukuyomi and Inari. Sena placed first in the Noble Works chara poll. My fav chara Hinata was a close second. Sena gets a commemorative wallpaper. In a close battle, Aya was the winning imouto in the Zettai Imouto Genri Shugi chara poll.
A collaboration anime between Subaru and Gainax? Wait… Subaru?
Their TV series may have ended, but K-ON! and Sengoku Basara are both getting movies, Railgun has an OVA out this month and another epilogue for Angel Beats! will be included in the 7th DVD on December 22nd (more news to follow on official website in late October).
Leaf’s Tears to Tiara will be ported to the PSP on November 25th. In addition to the standard difficulty levels, they’ve also added a ‘Devil’ mode. This will be followed by the spinoff Tears to Tiara Gaiden: Avalon no Nazo on December 16th. Dream Club Zero will come out on the Xbox360 on December 30th.
Following the Rei ballerina, now you can couple her with an Asuka ballerina (1/7 scale, 7140 yen). It’ll be available in February.
Silverlight’s going to be more popular in Taiwan, with the introduction of mascot Hikaru.
Dream Party Tokyo will be running this Sunday at Tokyo Big Sight.
Should you be in Akihabara this month, there’s tours available in English and Chinese from the Akihabara Tourism Promotion Association. If you know a bit of Japanese though, I’d recommend just spending a day to explore it yourself.
I’ve been busy writing posts this week, so haven’t made much progress in Yoake. Mia’s route was so-so, hopefully Sayaka’s will be better. After that, it’s the home stretch for the true end.
I love your Real Imouto banner! by Chrouya
Thanks! I haven’t gotten around to making a new one since I’m too lazy to reinstall Photoshop after my HD died.
Hey Micchi, since when did you start loving imoutos? ^^
& why does Zen hate them? by Nemuru
I’ve always loved them!
Joking aside (?), that’s a good question and one that I’ve pondered many times myself. I distinctly recall watching Sister Princess way back in 2003 and finding Kaho-chan pretty cute, but that’s about it. I did like kouhai chars a lot though and still do. Sana (Tenshin Ranman, 2009) was probably one of the first imouto that I really loved and she also opened my eyes to imouto seiyuu specialist Agumi Oto. Around that time, I also read more imouto-focused Japanese blogs and thought that it would be great to write more about them here. But I think that I’ve always liked those types of chars because of endearment and that feeling that it’s your responsibility to protect them.
As for Zen, I don’t think he hates them. He just likes to tease me. And it would be scary if he were to love one.
As I have said before, I don’t exactly hate them, I simply do not like the traits they typically embody as a romantic option in eroge.
