The More the Merrier!

What is this countdown on CIRCUS’ website? Possibly the time until D.C. finally ends? Just kidding, it’s actually the announcement of the D.C.I/II PSP adaptation, scheduled for October 28th. You can get the platinum pack for 28,000 yen, which includes a bath poster of all 27 heroines. Wait, 27 heroines? I can only name 25… Anyone wanna try listing them?

Upcoming new games include:

CUBEyour diary
CUFFSCafe Sourire
HulotteWith Ribbon
Unknown brand – Necra na Noroi no Kaijuhou

Hulotte is a new company. The lead artist is Ikegami Akane, who recently illustrated Eternal Sky. New maker SORAHANE will open its main website on May 21st.

Release dates announced this week:

Albatross Koukairoku – July 23rd
Kono Uta ga Owattara – July 23rd

Ama Ane and ConSome! ~combination somebody~ have been pushed back to June 25th.

Minori placed first in the Can Fes 1st chara poll. There will be a second one coming up soon. Meanwhile, the second Acchi Muite Koi chara poll will run till May 31st. Trap senpai Anju won the first one.

Kuroneko’s imouto will appear in the Oreimo anime! Considering that there’s only one reference to her in the light novel (her seeing nekomimi Kuroneko dancing to Caramelldansen), I can’t wait to see what she looks like! This was revealed during the Oreimo interview with Fushimi Tsukasa.

Garage kit exhibition Treasure Festa in Ariake 3 was held on May 4th. The ones that caught my eye are Yui, Ui, Reisen, Kuroko, Momo and Nadeko.

Nippon Ichi Software’s next PSP game is an AVG, Second Novel ~Kanojo no Natsu, 15-fun no Kioku~. Following the one she loved, Ayano leaps off from the roof of the school. She survives, but can only remember the last 15 minutes. The system requires switching constantly between the present and the past. It’s an intriguing game that should be pretty good.

I find it amusing that Houkago Tea Time will be representing Japan at RWC2010.

Webclap responses:
Ow. I was really looking forward to Ama Ane and now I see the news of it being delayed. XD by Amoirsp
It’s just one month. Not too long. I had to wait an extra 5 months for Koisora

Portable Sana-chan is portable, and very cute!! I played through Really Really DS and got Married…to KAEDE1 (It’s a shuffle game, for the DS) And where did the monthly updates go? I mean releases…xDDDDDD by Kitty
Really Really is a fun game, especially if you love Kaede ^^ We’re still working on the May post. I’ve been busy with real life stuff lately. Don’t worry, it’ll be out soon!

I lost track of the additional DC characters. I’ll take note of Yume and Mako, and that’s about it. [I count a good 22.]

Ama Ane has no trial version currently (Koisora had a trial, then got delayed). The delay also means it won’t be necessary to include on the May post. Therefore I can’t put an impression on it or look at one. So I’m like nooOooo and thus the webclap. I’m not surprised by the delay but I also hope it’s just one more month. Not expecting much either but I like the character design and it has a trap.

… and Anju is a trap? I look at games that may have a balanced side character trap and I suppose I did not notice at all.

Looking forward to your May releases impressions review!

Interesting that more and more ADV is getting pushed onto the psp…good news to the console makers.

Also I followed the kuroneko link and in the related video saw Final Fantasy Clannad…pure win!

Hmm… Lemme try listing them all down:

Nemu; Sakura; Kotori; Mako; Moe; Otome; Yume; Miharu; Minatsu; Erika; Tamaki; Koko; Akane; Anzu; Mahiru; Aisia; Nanaka; Kanae; Yoriko; Izumiko; Nanako; Alice; Maya; Mayuki…

I give up. My memory’s dead. I take these things too seriously.

  • 7. なでこ  |  May 10, 2010 at 4:18 pm

DC: Nemu, Sakura, Kotori, Moe, Mako, Miharu, Alice, Tamaki, Nanako, Izumiko, Misaki, Kudou*, Kirihane*

DCII: Otome, Yume, Nanaka, Koko, Minatsu, Anzu, Akane, Maya, Miyuki, Erika, Aisia, Mahiru, Shinobu, Rina

    * not sure of kanji reading for given name so took their surname. Anyway, total of 27. ^^

  • 8. eab1990  |  May 10, 2010 at 8:40 pm

Kudou’s first name is Kanae. I dunno a Kirihane, but I do know a Kasumi Kiryu. And I don’t know a Shinobu or Rina either…

Does Ayumi from Kotori Love Ex P count as a heroine? I doubt Kotori’s friends Kanako/Mikkun do. How about Mu in To You? This is tough… Bath poster pic is required and do want.

  • 9. eab1990  |  May 10, 2010 at 8:46 pm

Oh, wait, Shinobu and Rina are those two girls in D.C. II P.C.? I always thought that part of the CG set was a different thing entirely. What’s their story in the Da Capo-verse? They seem really out of place…

Since the site includes them, I guess they’re part of the 27. Otherwise, yeah, there’d only be 25 heroines, not including the minor characters I mentioned.

  • 10. enthor  |  May 10, 2010 at 10:50 pm

So for those who lack the ability to read Japanese, how many books (minimum) will be covered in the Oreimo anime, if Kuroneko’s imouto will appear?

  • 11. Algester  |  May 11, 2010 at 4:56 am

hmmm K-ten… it seems all to familiar to me… it could be a love comedy parody genre from what it looks

  • 12. Micchi  |  May 11, 2010 at 9:04 pm

@Wrathkal: Hemi’s obsessing over… well, whatever is coming out next.

@Kitty: I am currently playing Koisora. Almost done. After that, I’ll probably be going back to Sakuno’s route in Mashifoni. Closest I’ll get to Black Cyc is White Cyc… which is pretty awful. Moe eroge is my genre of choice, as you probably noted.

@uis_kana: YAAAAAAAA! I love Oreimo! I can’t wait to see them all – Kuroneko, Manami, Ayase, Saori, Meruru! Ha-ji-ma-ru YO~!

@Amoirsp: Just one more month :3

@Observer31: It’s really tempting for me to get a PSP. But I probably won’t end up playing it as I’m usually playing eroge or reading light novels when I’m not working/sleeping.

    @seele00: Good try!

@なでこ: You get a cookie! Well, I’m not sure if the char list was out when you answered, but you get a cookie anyway ^^

@eab1990: I totally forgot about Shinobu and Rina since I didn’t play all of D.C.II P.C. (I just wanted Mahiru…) I agree they look really out of place though. If the fandisk bonus chars were included, I would’ve liked the Christmas angel…

@enthor: Well, Kuroneko’s imouto doesn’t actually appear in the light novel. She’s only mentioned. Zen and I were discussing this and if it will be 1-cour series, then they’ll probably stop at the end of v4 with a lead-in to a second series if the ratings are good.

@Algester: Almost everything is love comedy. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

  • 13. eab1990  |  May 12, 2010 at 7:39 pm

I was personally excited about Aisia’s reappearance in D.C. II P.C. myself, but Mahiru is still good. Erika isn’t as good as Izumiko, IMO. And Maya/Mayuki are bleh, while Akane should’ve been in the first D.C. II.
