Shinobu’s Too Cute to be a Girl
Nooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!! Koiiro Sora Moyou has been pushed back almost 5 months to March 26th ;__________; That’s a long time to wait for Mikoto-chan and Aya-chan >_<
Dengeki Chara Festival 2009 was held last weekend (10/03~10/04). You can find pictures of the signed illustrations, cosplay and the general layout off Dengeki and Galkko. The Ita-G Festa 2009 for itasha was also held on October 4th. I’ll make a post about this later.
New PVC figures this week are CM’s Haruka from Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu, Kotobukiya’s Sakuya from Sister Princess and Jun from Happiness!. Jun counts as a ‘legend girl’? Anyways, all three come out in January 2010.
As you know, depending on what store you buy games from, you will receive slightly different telephone cards and other ‘bonus’ merchandise. Well, I think almost everyone will want to get Kiss to Maou to Darjeeling from Medio now because of their special teleka of Shinobu… hadaka-apron style. The full list of teleka for the game is available from Marmalade. There’s even two versions: the second one seems even more risque than usual! こんな可愛い子が女の子のはずがない！
Three years and 1.5 series too late, but Haruhi is getting a movie. “Kyon-kun, denwa”?
From the makers of such popular titles as CLONNAD, Suzumiya Hahiru no Yuuutsu, Higurashi ga Naku Koro ni comes Keionbu. All of them are actually AVs (adult videos) by Total Media Agency (TMA), which copy the scenes in the first episode of each of their respective series… while adding mindless sex. Why am I mentioning this when almost everything is awful about it? It copies basically everything, right down to the ED. Since listening to emotionless voices is not entertaining, check out the side-by-side comparison with the original sound and video: Part 1; Part 2.
Researchers in UK discover that “sisters spread happiness”. I knew this all along.
I tried out the Love Death 4 demo. It is so wrong. Did they spend all the time rendering the girl and forgetting about everything else?
Taiga sure is doing well in both Best Moe (finals) and Saimoe (semifinals). I guess it’s the year of the tiger?
Happy Turkey Day for all the Canadians out there!
I’ve been reading your blog for, I guess, half a year now. I blame your and Zen’s joint eroge reviews and posts about upcoming releases for this. Especially the reviews, which, I think, benefit quite a lot from your different opinions. Probably also because my own taste seems to be somewhere between your and Zen’s.
Enough fanboying, now the reason I’m writing all this:
I’ve started studying Japanese a few months ago and have finally hit a motivational low. Instead of actually doing something Japanese, I ended up playing Tales of Vesperia (I want to take Rita home) and Odin Sphere (games with beautifully animated 2D sprites need more love) … and studying for exams.
So I humbly enquire if you would be so kind as to recommend me a few eroge (non-ero is fine, too) with rather easy language. Bonus points if they’re actually good and/or fast paced (terribly slow reader here). by hypovolemia
Thanks for reading! Ya, I think most people’s tastes fall somewhere between our polar opposites.
Well, most romance comedies are easier to understand than more complicated eroge since there’s not as much technical jargon that you need to pick through. Along those lines, I’d recommend YuzuSoft’s Bra-ban! or CIRCUS’ Da Capo. I’m not sure if those are the types of games that interest you, but they’re easier to understand with limited knowledge.
I would suggest using AGTH to extract the kanji you may have difficulty with to put them into a web translator. If you need a bit more help to guide you along use Atlas to give a rough translation of what AGTH picks up. The reason I suggest this method is that at least for me, it is a lot easier to learn and put the effort into a game which I enjoy. Rather than spending time trying to translate words I don’t care about.
