Paladin PD Quest
The paladin passive defense (PD) quest is implemented in G3S3. Completion of this quest rewards you with three passive paladin skills: Natural shield, Heavy stander and Mana reflector.
- You may start this quest if you have completed the G2 mainstream quest and acquired paladin transformation.
- You may do this quest even if you have completed G3 mainstream.
- Completion of this quest will still allow you to turn into a dark knight in G3S4 and beyond.
- Completion of this quest is not necessary for those that plan to be a DK, as they innately have all 3 PD skills.
Similar to all guides, if you wish to do this on your own, please do not read further as these are spoilers.
If you have completed G2, an owl will deliver a quest to you. Talk to Redire (Price) and you will receive a collection book titled “The Book of the Paladin” (It’s a b). You will also have a keyword with the same name. You must collect the 7 pages for the collection book.
Page 1: Talk to Eavan in Dunbarton. She will have you find 5 skeleton wolf fomor scrolls. Note: If you did not skip G2, you will have received this page already.
Page 2: Talk to Craig in Emain Macha. He will have you clear Barri dungeon to find some magic powder, then you will need to bring the torn page to Stewart to fix it. Note: If you did not skip G2, you will have received this page already.
Page 3: Give the homeless man in Emain Macha square 3 five-star t-bone steaks. You can buy them at Gordon in Emain Macha restaurant for 3700g each.
Page 4: Help Stewart find a book with the page in Dunbarton Library. You can find the page without talking to Stewart also.
Page 5: Talk to Comgan in Bangor. He needs help killing 5 imps. You can find imps in Barri normal dungeon or in Gairech field.
Page 6: Talk to Shena in Emain Macha. She needs 3 rainbow trout (110cm+). Make sure you talk to her before gifting them to her. You can fish up rainbow trout in Emain Macha.
Page 7: Talk to Agnes in Emain Macha. She will have you get 10 mass of flowers. You can cut flowers in the flowerbeds around Emain Macha and Ceo Island while holding a weeding hoe.
After collecting the seven pages and completing the collection book, you will receive an awakening charm. Bring this charm to Coill dungeon. Here, you will need to solo the dungeon. It is 1 floor long and is just like normal Coill with a few sprites. The boss is a nightmare humanoid.
After beating this dungeon, you will receive all 3 paladin PD skills. The book will disappear from your inventory. Every time you transform into a paladin, one or more of these passive skills will activate. The game will tell you which passive skills have activated. They also each have a different colour:
Green = Natural Shield
Red = Heavy Stander
Blue = Mana Reflector
You may rank up these skills just like other paladin skills. However, leaving them at rank F is fine too.
