Figure Review: Nendoroid Amano Touko ~ Bungaku Shoujo

Another month, another nendoroid. This time I bring you Amano Touko, the Bungaku Shoujo (Literature Girl). This will be the first time I’m covering a new release as she just came out on the end of October. I’m thankful for Hobby Search’s 50% shipping promotion, which allowed me to save money while purchasing her.

As for some background information, this character comes from a series of light novels. For those interested they can learn more about the character through the animated OVAs, movies, and manga available. Although I had no knowledge of the character when buying her, I found myself attracted to the braided twintails. Man I really can’t get enough of twintails can I?

Figure Review: Yui Nendoroid K-ON!

I’m back for another round of figure reviews. This time I’ll be focusing on a nendoroid that had already been released a few months ago. However, I’ve only recently acquired it since I had to order from the second round of shipments.

Although I was planning on doing the Bakemonogatari Petit/Puchi Nendoroid set, I thought that photographing all 9 petit nendoroids while practicing my photographing technique would have been a bit too much. So Hirasawa Yui of K-ON! will be joining us today with a few other familiar faces to aid in the review. I was pretty delighted to see how cute she ended up being.

Figure Review: Black Rock Shooter Nendoroid + Figma Combo!

Guess who’s not stranded in Rokkenjima anymore? Well… until episode 7 gets translated. Anyway since I started collecting again, I’ve decided to post small reviews of my monthly shipments.

Figmas and nendoroids vary in quality and design sometimes so I thought it would be good to cover any noteworthy details in anything I encounter. I don’t really collect figmas, therefore the primary focus will be nendoroids mainly. But just for this special case, I’m going to also write about both the nendoroid and figma version of Black Rock Shooter.

Fresh Nendoroids from Comiket 77

Hi everyone it’s been awhile! In my last post, I showed some prototype Azunyan pictures, but now with Comiket 77 out, a completed version was unveiled. Now with the whole band finished up and colored, I can see my wallet flying out. Why is it so tempting to collect a nendoroid band? >_< Now I’m awaiting reservations for Azu-nyan.

K-ON! Full Band Nendoroid Preview – and Curry

Here is a preview of the upcoming Azunyan (Nakano Azusa) nendoroid that was shown at the C3X Hobby event in Japan! Along with her are the rest of the K-ON nendoroid crew listed below. I don’t see any estimated release dates, but they’re coming pretty far along with finishing up the rest of the cast. Unlike the main characters of Lucky Star, I actually feel like collecting the whole band ^_^

Fall Nendoroid Preview

A scan from a hobby magazine reveals a couple of upcoming nendoroids. With a new line of petit nendoroids and normal nendoroids, there’s more reasons for me to go without food x_x Shown above is a set of petit nendoroids from the Vocaloid series. For those who never got the chance to purchase the many variations of the Miku nendoroid, here’s a good chance to grab your own Miku and more. As I already have two Miku nendoroids (The normal, and Wonderfest version) and a Kagamine Rin nendoroid, this purchase isn’t exactly prioritized highly on my list of stuff to get. But in the long run, adding more to my army of petit nendoroids is heavily tempting me …

Other than that, two Type-Moon nendoroids of Ryougi Shiki (Kara no Kyoukai) and Canaan (Canaan) seem to be ready for a fall release as well. And to milk the franchise even further, we get a petit set of of Death Note nendoroids. Seeing that most of the cast depicted in the set has already been released in a normal sized nendoroid forms, we’re seeing a lot of repeat nendoroids in petit form. Seeing that I do not own even one of the original Death Note nendoroids, this does not affect me at all as this gives me a chance to grab some more variety in my nendoroid collection ^_^ I can’t wait to grab some more petit nendoroids including Churuya-san (Haruhi) above. But with the rate they’re releasing nendoroids, we’ll probably see a nendoroid version of everyone’s favorite anime/game characters.

Nendoroid Akiyama Mio ~ K-ON!

Seems like K-ON! nendoroids are in the works as we are presented with the first images of the Mio nendoroid. Details were released in the official K-ON! blog, but no release date has yet been confirmed on this. Hopefully they’ll work on Azunyan as well since she’s my favorite! I really should have updated this week with Micchi-senpai gone, but I had the stomach flu ^_~ I’m definitely going to need more room for nendoroids though….

Kagamine Rin goes on a Solo Debut!

Nemuiwanko here! Kagamine Rin recently arrived as a nice delayed shipment. I didn’t order her brother since I wanted other nendoroids more so I won’t be seeing the pair together for awhile. Maybe she can join Keroro-tachi and start a band with them >_>;; My nendoroid shipments are going to lower immensely until I get a nice source of revenue flowing in to support these future purchases.

At the moment I’m trying to work in more posts, but I’m caught by the World of Warcraft expansion: Wrath of the Lich King. It’s too addicting to play as Death Knight, but now that I’m 80 that should allow me more time to watch anime and write more posts hopefully…. and of course finish Umineko now that episode 3 has been fully translated!

Finally I just wanted to say that MMOs are pure evil….

Nemuiwanko here! Nendoroids have arrived and wondering how this new year will turn out. I hope everyone is doing well. I’m going to have to post more now but with my recent hard drive problems and WoW, that has kept me occupied o_o;  I don’t have an awesome list of resolutions like Micchi-senpai but I hope to find a job and fix my sleeping habits! And so many games to finish… Umineko ;___________; But that’s it for now.

Urusai x 3 – Nendoroid Shana Arrives!

Nemuiwanko here! Still playing through Mother 3 and Umineko, but my brain is fizzling out from people’s birthday parties this week. But an early shipment arrived, and I got my newest nendoroid from the Shakugan no Shana series. As for the figma, I kinda errr.. got my friend into figma collecting, so that’s the result there. Collecting stuff is addicting >_< Anyway, I hope to make a post about Umineko once I clear the first part with George and Shannon. They make a cute couple but he looks so Tomitake-ish in his casual clothes x_x;;
