DreamParty Tokyo 2014 spring has been cancelled due to lack of exhibitors. After 9 years running, it will now be a character goods shop. This does not bode well for the eroge industry since this event is pretty much the premier event outside of Comiket.
PULLTOP is releasing a variety pack for Konosora this spring called Snow Presents. It features a mini story with Kotori during the winter, a CD of the Soaring Club’s winter camp, as well as maxi single with Kotori’s character song.
CIRCUS’ D.C.III P.P. has been delayed to April 25th! I guess that means it’ll be a while till I get to be with Sara since Sakusaku is also in that month. Maple Software’s Natsuiro☆Macchiato has been pushed back once again to late 2014.
piriri! has started up a chara poll for Kimikishi and it runs until March 14th. The winner will get some character goods.
There’s a 1/5 scale figure coming out this June from Amie-Grand for Muramasa from Nitro’s Muramasa. The finished product costs ￥20,000, but you can get the kit for only ￥12,000.
You like Maia? Well, Purple Software has made a Maia clock and mobile pocket Maia live wallpaper app for Google Play. Does it do anything special? Well, not really… but you can have Maia with you all the time! I guess that’s something special!
I’m casually playing Hinako’s route in Innocent Girl. Why does this always happen to me? T_T
This month is the best one we’ve seen in a long time, with 19 varied titles to choose from. I’ve been very excited for ALcot’s 10th anniversary work Clover Day’s and CIRCUS’ Da Capo III Platinum Partner, which returns to Hatsunejima. There’s also a few sequels and fandisks coming out: August’s Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai -Dreaming Sheep-, TENCO’s Eiyuu＊Senki GOLD, and GIGA’s BALDR SKY Zero 2. You can also meet your long lost twin in SORAHANE’s Haruka Kanata or change the world in Akatsuki Works’ Hello, Lady!. There’s so many to play and so little time (since April will be just as good!). Enjoy!
Quantity over quality is how I would describe the releases for this year’s March. In the rush to get the post done during the loli month I was left with the feeling that it’s almost as though March 2014 was made in homage to the Circus constellation of the eroge zodiac. Although my complaints aside Micchi is at least correct that compared to most months of late this does stand out as above the recent relative average. There are even a few games that may be worth reading, a pleasant surprise after several months where not a single game was appealing enough to even add it to the bottom of a backlog. Unfortunately they are still limited to potential rather than something to be actively endorsed, so there remains a very good chance that after the games are released this will be another month with nothing good to show for it. Just having some hope alone is good enough for me to feel a little better about things after so many months were not even a shred of hope for anything worth reading could be found.
Doujin circle Initial Soft‘s debut work is Happy Sister Utopia!, coming out on April 29th. It has good art like Steroider, as well as a similar character set-up. But this one has a big-breasted “The GOD” in sukumizu. Other new titles announced this week include:
A collection of Rakko’s artwork will be on shelves on March 31st. It will include her works for HOOKSOFT from LikeLife to MeltyMoment.
Both August’s Eustia and TYPE MOON’s Fate/hollow ataraxia are being ported over to the PSV. FlyingShine’s CROSS†CHANNEL will be out on the PS3/PSV on June 26th. The PSP port for Rewrite is scheduled for April 17th.
The second Koishiki Manual chara poll runs until March 21st.
New figures announced this week include:
BEAT – 1/6 scale Sasara pool sukumizu/white sukumizu ver. (TH2, June, ￥8800)
Max Factory – figma Hazuki (Toushin Toshi, June, ￥3704)
Phat! – 1/8 scale Mika charisma girl ver. (im@s CG, August, ￥12,800)
Now that the Olympics are over (and Canada swept the hockey golds, again), I’m back to playing trials. Luckily, a lot of them came out this week, mostly for March releases. However, the one I went straight for Studio Ryokucha’s Minakoi! It gives off a similar feel to Koisora, different from Iwaou. Elise is omochikaeri material… just need to soften her a bit.
The library club is eternal! August’s Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai was voted as the best eroge of the past year in Getchu’s bishoujo game awards 2013, just before the release of its fandisk in March. Wrapping up the top three are hibiki works’ LOVELY×CATION2 and Navel’s Otome Riron to Sono Shuuhen.
Daito also had the best music, and was surprisingly voted 3rd in system, ahead of some SLG/ACTs. Best system was awarded to L×C2, which also captured best OP. Otomeriron captured the best scenario, as well as the top character in Luna. Daito‘s Kanasuke and Otomeriron‘s imouto Resona weren’t far behind. Clochette’s Pricolle had the best graphics (swayed by oppai) and the ero category went to Frill’s Seishoujo. Congrats to all the winners!
Astronauts Sirius’ Demonion II has been delayed to April 25th, while release dates have been set for the following titles:
Lose’s Monobeno -MORE SMILE- for Natsuha will feature append H scenes, illustrations and voice clips. It comes out on April 25th for ￥3000, although you can get a dakimakura of Natsuha in a wedding dress for ￥9000 more.
Hina topped Sengoku Koihime‘s Hinamatsuri chara poll. This makes absolute sense. A wallpaper will be available on March 3rd (Hinamatsuri).
The Cocoro@Function! visual fan book will be on shelves on March 18th.
New figures available for pre-order include:
SkyTube – 1/6 scale Nozomi (Genmukan, July, ￥10,800)
WAVE – 1/10 scale Caster (Fate/EXTRA CCC, September, ￥5600)
WAVE – 1/10 scale Celia (Walroma, September, ￥4600)
WAVE - 1/10 scale Saber red edition (Fate/EXTRA, September, ￥4400)
PeasSoft is currently taking pre-orders for dakimakura of Koisex‘s Suzuka until March 15th.
Going for gold, baby!!
Cheri topped the Tsuyokiss NEXT chara poll, while Saori placed first in the Timepiece Ensemble chara poll. Lump of Sugar has started up the character poll grand prix for Sekachu, running until March 7th. Also running at the same time is the Kiss Ato chara poll. Vote for Hijiri!
Clochette’s OP Song Collection will be on shelves on February 28th for ￥1260. It contains the OPs from Sakigake, Pricolle and Kamikaze, all sung by AiRI.
The latest Super Sonico figure is from Orchid Seed. This 1/5 scale Sonicomi package ver. -Berry!- will be out in June for ￥11,429. They all look the same to me~
Eroge companies never fail to disappoint on Valentine’s Day, with many choco and ribbon-filled wallpapers for you to download. A small selection include SAGA PLANETS’ Karumaruka, MOONSTONE’s Love Sweets, Cabbit’s Nyan Cafe Macchiato, Baseson’s Sengoku Koihime and PULLTOP’s Konosora.
Played through a few trials, including PULLTOP Latte’s Koisuru Natsu no Last Resort. It has a similar relaxing feel as their first title Tototo. The trial covers part of the route for main heroine kouhai Umi, who slowly grew on me.
Yuzupara has a SR Sana for Valentine’s event! I want her!!!
WHITESOFT’s Gangsta Alcadia has been scheduled for May 30th.
Debonosu is planning an extra scenario for Senjou no Folklore, coming out on April 25th. It will feature 30 new HCGs of the new main heroines Maria and Isabel.
Opera is too powerful. I think she must’ve pulled some tricks to secure first in the Endless Dungeon chara poll. Chara polls have started up for Kiss Ato and Shin Shirogane no Soleil (until February 28th). There’s also a Hinamatsuri poll for Sengoku Koihime with the winner rewarded with a wallpaper. It seems like Hina is leading so far.
A recolor version of Persona4‘s Mitsuru is coming out in April from Vertex. It’s priced at ￥12,960.
Koyomi is next up in the Karumaruka dakimakura series. Mmm… delicious…
Now we finally know the birthdays for the Hatsusaku cast! Next up is bunny!
The Olympics are underway and I’ll be spending the next two weeks watching everything. Go Canada! ^o^
WHITESOFT is making a sequel, Nekonade Distortion Renai Jishou no Dead End, where all the characters are now voiced by Kotoko (Samoto Fuuri). Including the dad. This must be a wonderful gift for Fuurin fans.

Or rather, you want a plush doll of Tsukioto‘s Asahi? Of course you do.
Phew, that’s a lot of news to go through. My apologies for the post being a bit late since I was bedridden the past couple days due to food poisoning (not Chinami’s fault). I’ve been playing Clover Heart’s as usual (on Rio’s route now after finishing up Madoka subroute), but took a break to play MeltyMoment. I finished earnest kouhai Misao, who was the only character that I was really interested in. Well, I guess carefree senpai Aoi is good too, but Yuuka and Natsuki lacked any depth. I liked how the ending CG changed depending on your choices through the route. My favourite was the four-leaf clover bookmark.
