Inspired by フィン’s MAD for Toradora’s Ami, めでぃあさん created a Kurimu MAD using 転少女’s rendition of ryo’s Miku original “World is Mine”. Even though her voice is not exactly the same as Kurimu’s, with a bit too much low intonation, it’s pretty close. In terms of the animation, I thought it fit extremely well with the lyrics. Then again, there’s nothing I can say against a flood of moe Kurimu pics.

Fall 2009 Anime
As October nears, the majority of currently running series wraps up and a new season begins. There’s a lot of interesting series, but not many eroge adaptations. Most are manga or light novel adaptations, such as Nyan Koi! and Seitokai no Ichizon. Similar to the summer preview, I’ll be listing the series by first episode air date and providing a link to their respective official sites. All three of us (Micchi, nemuiwanko, Zen) will write a few words about it.
Omni wrote a comprehensive preview of this season. Summaries can be found there. The series chart is provided by Chartfag as usual. Some sceencaps from ASCII.jp.

Epic Mahjong is Epic
Especially if you pair it with epic music (“GONG” from Super Robot Wars Alpha 3 by JAM Project). If you understand Japanese, go read the comments in the Niconico vid. 振ーりー込ーむーなー!!
Honestly, if you haven’t watched Saki yet, you should. Also, Koromo is way too cute.

Umineko Anime Episode 1- First Impressions
Nemuiwanko here! (Will be using this color to identify myself with) After a long hiatus from posting, I’m back to post about the newly released Umineko no Naku Koro Ni anime. I was pretty overjoyed to hear that it was getting its own anime adaptation but was pretty worried since a game of that caliber would not translate well into anime form. The game itself just has too much information, backgrounds, and even tea parties* (yes, tea parties) to consider and viewers would probably never fully understand the plot. The anime version of Ryukishi07’s (creator of Higurashi and Umineko) former work Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni managed to cover the major plot points but left out crucial details that would have explained and further contributed to the understanding of the story.

Summer 2009 Anime
With the spring season mostly drawing to a close, new summer shows will be taking their place. The summer anime season is usually not that good, but this summer has two heavily hyped shows in Umineko no Naku Koro ni and CANAAN. The above video is a collection of PVs and related articles if there’s no PV. An English chart of upcoming shows is here. Just like last time, I’ve included the links to the official sites and will just comment a bit on each series as there’s lots of anime-centric blogs that will cover this later anyway. I’ve also added a section on the sidebar. More info off MOON PHASE.

Spring 2009 Anime – First Impressions
As you’re all aware of, the spring 2009 anime season is now officially underway. Zen and I watched the first few episodes for each series to decide on which series we wished to follow. There is now a list of series this season on the sidebar for your convenience. They are color-coded for your authors: blue for me, green for Zen. I do not plan to write episode summaries, but we’ll give our dull extremely biased first impressions. The illustration of K-ON’s Yui is by 一休. Some screen captures are courtesy of Random Curiosity.

Higurashi Rei – Hajisarashi-hen
I finally got around to watching the first episode of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei, which is the OVA which covers three side stories in the Higurashi world. The first episode Hajisarashi-hen is an over-the-top slapstick parody at the pool with plenty of moe, GAR and some other things I would’ve rather not seen. Rena is so cute even though she’s so perverted because of her outrageous thoughts cuz she’s Rena. It’s nice to see the whole cast again. I laughed pretty hard at Hanyuu’s antics and when Okonogi showed up. The second episode recently came out and will cover Saikoroshi-hen.

Spring 2009 Anime
Watching the snow melt and mercury rise can mean only one thing… it’s springtime! This also means that there’s a brand new anime season. Historically, the spring season is one of the strongest for anime. I’m sure it will not let us down this year. The video above courtesy of Niconico and Youtube briefly shows each new show, a short plot summary, the start date (and airing stations), and the cast and staff. For those that aren’t literate in Japanese, please check out the English summary. This is a secondary source, so I do not take credit for it.
There are a lot of previews on prominent blogs such as THAT Animeblog, so I won’t write in depth about every title. You can also find more information off Moon Phase.
