Spring 2013 Anime Preview
We’re back again! This post is probably going to be slightly late as we’re all getting really busy! But that aside, there is a larger amount of sci fi anime coming out in the spring. As much as I wanted it to happen, the selection isn’t exactly impressive. Although I do think age and real life is taking its toll on me, I still do hope to see anime reach a new golden age. So far as it stands, I’m having more fun rewatching Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Late and totally not my fault.. maybe… Regardless of my busy schedule or lazy lack of care towards anime that haven’t done much to inspire confidence of late I guess I am sorry for causing the post to be late. All that said this season is the very least better than the previous by a noticeable margin. While we have yet to truly break free of the moe slice of life and romance comedy variations there are at least more options to choose from this season. It is very nice to see an increase in science fiction, although to be honest most of them are pretty bad there is hope that with enough series being thrown out there will be some good shows mixed in eventually.
Here’s a preview from Random Curiosity as usual and a chart so you can follow along!

Winter 2013 Anime Impressions
I wonder if we’ll ever see a return to a more diverse anime package for a season. Besides Maoyuu, everything else is just there to fill up and drain those minutes of the day when you’re bored. In a way that’s not so bad, but it would better if I could just watch something that would remind me of why I started watching anime in the first place. Come on, how about more anime where the characters actually face a real crisis other than trying to make friends or the like >_O. Either way, these 3 minute anime shorts are a great way for me to entertain myself while waiting for a ranked game to start in league of legends!
Worst season in recent memory. Even the shows or well show I was looking forward to turned out to be a disappointment. Seasons like this are why I don’t pay as much attention to anime anymore. Sure it is more popular, but there just isn’t much worth the time anymore for this medium. I can only hope the piles of garbage anime helps kill off some of the excess popularity for the sake of emphasis on quality again.
As usual, here’s a chart so follow along! And of course a preview from Random Curiosity!
Winter 2013 Anime Preview
Moe and romance comedy reigns supreme. I don’t hate moe anime, but sometimes there is too much of a good thing. As much as I like eating donuts, I can’t eat a full box of them T_T; I remember the days when I could completely look forward to all the moe anime offerings. >_O;; In other news, I just purchased Nendoroid Hatsune Miku v2.0…. how many Mikus must I own?
This season is not so much bad as gives one the impression every studio bought the same anime color by numbers kit and were a little more liberal on what colors the numbers defined so as to be unique. At this point I am not even asking for anything good, or even something decent, I only want there to be a tiny bit of variety, anything not moe or romance comedy. That doesn’t seem like too much to ask, does it?
As usual, here’s a chart so follow along! And of course a preview from Random Curiosity!
Fall 2012 Anime Impressions
Sadly, yet expected, the best character in Code Breaker!
Unfortunately, I don’t have that many series viewed this time around since I had to move into a new house during the past few weeks. Still busy sorting things out and failing at my attempts with ranked games in LoL, but finally…. I now have room to buy a DETOLF case from IKEA! Or perhaps something even bigger… Time to bring the nendoroids out of their boxes ^_____^
Boring season with not much to stand out, the best series in my eyes is still Jormungand although I am not watching till its complete and I can finish it all at once. Most are generally lackluster though, falling into the same stale cliches despite a few unique ideas and settings that could have spiced things up sadly.
Here’s a summary chart and a preview from Random Curiosity.
Fall 2012 Anime Preview
After looking at this list here, I’ll add moe shows Joshiraku and Oda Nobuna no Yabou to my backlog >_>; It’s getting harder to watch anime when all you see is the same thing. I might as well give most of these an episode 1 watch, but I do wonder how many will survive long enough to make it to the impressions list or the skim and garbage pile. Oh well, I am excited about one series in particular; Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure! As a fan of the manga, I can’t wait to finally see all the arcs animated. WRRRRRRRYYYYYY
Ah another season down and a new one freshly lined up to take its place. While there are a few shows that will be good this season there are many more that feel as though they could go either way, which kind of sucks for me since that usually means they end up terrible thanks to bad decisions by the staff who made them. It is nice to have some hope for a season with so many bad seasons both with anime and the eroge sides of things.
Here’s a summary chart and unfortunately no preview from Random Curiosity yet. We sure pushed this post out a lot faster this time!
Summer 2012 Anime Impressions
As I expected, this season of harem anime has really limited my viewing options. All I am mainly left with are moe shows, which do get tiresome eventually. At the very least, I am thankful that Sword Art Online is part of this season’s lineup as I feel my brain would rot even more just by watching only these cute and adorable moe shows >_O;
What a terrible season, just finding something to watch is pretty near impossible. If it were not for my habit of watching shows while writing posts or playing games as a little extra entertainment of sorts then I would most likely be unable to watch anything from this season. Sure there were a few series like Moyashimon that had potential to be so much better, but unfortunately its like they made them bad on purpose just to fit in with the rest of the terrible shows this season.

Summer 2012 Anime Preview
In a disturbing twist, we are moving on to the season of harems! Unlike the previous season, I’m not really feeling this lineup here. Although some of these do have some nice potential, I do feel that the lack of diversity here is going to make it seem like I’m watching the same harem anime over and over again. Oh well, Yuruyuri is back so who really cares!
For those curious about my Diablo 3 progress, I made $40.00 off Diablo 3′s real money auction house. Nyaruko nendoroid, I’m going to take you home!
As usual, it is a slow summer for anime. Many competing titles fighting over marketable characters this season, with few shows having anything else to offer or be worth the time it takes to watch them. Other than Moyashimon I am hoping for a better fall and going to mostly skip this season.

Spring 2012 Anime Impressions
With all the complaining we’ve been doing recently for anime, this season manages to entertain me! It’s been awhile since I’ve had an overall positive reaction to a season as a whole so I’m a bit ecstatic with the comedic lineup this season. With a few seinen titles to add some slightly serious drama to my list, moe, cute and comedy rule this season with an iron fist. But then again, Diablo 3 is currently ruling my life with an iron fist >_O. I have a feeling inferno mode fried my brain so much that I’ve reverted to my former moe-loving levels!
Certainly this is one of the better seasons we have had for anime in recent years, although there are still plenty of shows that are sub part to say the least there are also more than usual worth the time it takes to watch them. I can only hope the series continue to be worthwhile right up to the end instead of falling into the ever so typical pitfalls nearing the end of short one season series. I would probably have more to say here and in general if it were not for TERA abusing my free time with its delectable goodness, ah games the bane of free time.

Spring 2012 Anime Previews
Whenever the winter season ends, I weep at the upcoming spring posts. So many series to write up on…. the previous winter season was heaven! Well, it was more heaven than normal since we had less to write about :3. At least with this bigger lineup, maybe I’ll spend more time being entertained this time around. Aside from the return of the popular Fate Zero, I am noticeably interested in the seinen series that are popping up this season. Either way, the impressions post will probably take a lot longer to do this time x_x;; And sorry for the late post!
This season is too long, it really is so I decided to just be short and too the point. Or rather after writing a few comments and feeling as though I had gotten nowhere on a post that was keeping me from playing the games I wanted to I decided to spend my time wisely and be as blunt as possible. Don’t expect too much in the way of commentary till the impressions post when the list can be narrowed down even further to the select animes worth noting. At least half the post delay is thanks to my reading eroge, also the reason I didn’t put as much effort in as I probably should have, oh well. It is not entirely my fault however as I did not expect to be drawn into a game such that I did not want to put it down when only looking for a quick fifteen or so minute run through to get a feel for it.

Winter 2012 Anime Impressions
This post now belongs to hina <3
Sometimes I wonder if seasons can get more awful than the worst ones I’ve encountered, and then I find out that it can! Although a small number of series hold interest, and I mean 1-2, I can easily forget about everything on this list here. But I have to say that I’m getting even less interested in anime nowadays. It’s now harder for me to watch anime, and I have to make some effort to go through certain series. I didn’t really think it would happen, but perhaps I’m growing out of this. Rather than getting burnt out, I’ve become an old and bitter person. Yet this nendoroid collection continues to grow T_T
Also of note, we probably hit the record for our huge number of dropped series.
I should probably say more here but the sooner I finish writing this the sooner I can go playing the third installment of a certain game and so rather than proofread and type out a paragraph highlighting my thoughts on this season I will say I dropped a lot, boring season happy gaming now ensues.
As usual, another chart from Zana again. And of course Random Curiosity’s more detailed preview.
