Pioneers of Iria – Looking Ahead

There is more to Chapter 2 than just Rano, Connus and Physis! While it is unlikely that the next patch, G7, will come soon after this sizable patch, there is still lots more to look forward to in the upcoming months.

Please remember that the addition of content from this overview (specified from the last 6 posts) is subject to Nexon NA’s discretion. Content from G7 will not be implemented in this patch.

Courcle, a Tropical Paradise

Generation 7 adds the new area of Courcle, which is a swamp and plains situated north of Connus and east of Physis. You can find the main town of Corr inhabited by friendly indigenous people. The highlights in the area are searching for special types of items via Exploration and rafting for special prizes. If you feel adventurous, you can try taking down the giant crocodile and lion field bosses that roam the lands. Several new skills will be added during this generation, such as Animal Taming, 4 types of Magic Shield, Assault and Metallurgy. Production Mastery will be uncapped to rank 1, and the Paper Airplane action can be obtained too.

There will be a series of battle mechanics and skill changes implemented in G7, including the following:

• Increased SP use and less damage for AR
• Combat Mastery adds melee balance
• Ranged Attack adds ranged balance
• Magic Mastery adds magic balance
• Melee skill (Counter, Windmill) damage will not be affected by bow. Bare-hand damage will be used instead
• Int, instead of Dex, determines magic balance
• Magic damage from Int is increased

During this time, flying mounts, mimics and deer pets will be added. New percussion instruments are added for giants. Sion’s part-time job gives a pass to the hidden mine dungeon in Barri. This dungeon is 1 floor long with 4-6 rooms of ores. An advancement arena is implemented in Emain Macha for higher ranks past rank 1. The advanced play schedule also changes again, adding metal dye ampoules.
